Pepas (5 bags of 10 units)

Pepas are traditional cookies from Argentina that are usually enjoyed with coffee or tea. They are round, approximately 1.5-2" in diameter, and have a spoonful of quince jam (dulce de membrillo) in the middle, although Pepas can also be made with sweet potato jam (dulce de batata) or any other desired filling. The cookies are baked until they are slightly golden and the filling is melted. Pepas have a crunchy and crumbly texture that contrasts with the soft and fruity filling.
